What do I do if my internet connection fails?

While internet connection issues are rare with Lumos, they can happen. Here’s what we suggest:

  • Connect to another device or website to determine if the slow or failed connection is only happening on one device or all your devices.
  • Check your Wi-Fi settings to make sure you are connected to the proper SSID.
  • Run a speed test to confirm you’re getting lightning-fast internet.
  • Connect your computer directly to the router with an Ethernet cable to see if your Wi-Fi signal is poor enough to degrade your internet speed.
  • Restart your modem and router back to their factory default configuration.

If you are still experiencing a service issue, please contact a Lumos representative at 855.GO.LUMOS for help.
