North State, a fiber-based Internet and cloud service provider, recently pledged $107,000 to the United Way of Greater High Point (“UWGHP”). North State has been a long-time supporter of the UWGHP with lifetime pledges of more than $1.2 million.
“This year’s campaign was one of our best in recent memory,” said Royster Tucker III, Chief Executive Officer at North State. “Our employees and the company came together to raise $107,000, setting a new standard for us. United Way is a great organization, inspiring and building the local community in ways that North State is proud to support.”
“North State had another great campaign, especially on the heels of a record-setting last year,” said Bobby Smith, President of the United Way of Greater High Point. “This isn’t a small accomplishment by any means. They also held a large food drive as part of our CANpaign Kickoff which benefited 13 local food pantries. North State is one of High Point’s outstanding corporate citizens.”
This year’s campaign featured a baseball theme with each department or “team” participating in competitive challenges raising $57,000 in pledges in just eight days. North State matched this year’s donation with an additional $50,000.
